September 22, Wednesday, Late At Night
When Solanum had entered the castle she was on full kill mode. In one moment six years of hard work had been washed away by a filthy mudblood. It was bad enough Evans was a mudblood. It was bad enough she had Severus’s attention. Now she had destroyed Solanum’s school record in one swoop. If she could have somehow she would have burned the school to the ground and watched it all while sipping a glass of red wine and smoking a blue cocktail cigarette. She’d settle for breaking every bone in the female prefects body. Yes, that would do just fine.
Unfortunately she ran into Slughorn whom she threw the detention slip at. Solanum may have let fly more profanity than was humanly possible as she headed down to the dungeons. Slughorn of course followed her muttering something about a burn potion he couldn’t be bothered to brew because he had a pressing engagement to attend to. More than likely some pureblood wizarding family’s ass to kiss. She tried to ignore him because even he knew she couldn’t brew in this condition.
“I’ve had enough detention and losing house points for one night.” she snapped.
Slughorn of course began offering her things. None of which included the removal of the detention or return of the points. Therefore Solanum wasn’t listening. Finally Slughorn said he would do what he could to rectify the situation. Solanum just glared at him.
“If you are lying to me. You don’t want to know.” was all Solanum said.
So with that she got another pass from Slughorn who wasted no time rushing off to wherever he needed to be. Solanum angrily made her way to Slughorn’s office to brew the potion. It was where he kept his larger cauldron and she was to make a batch for Pomfrey. She of course helped herself to a calming draught before she removed her cloak, rolled up her sleeves, and began on the potion. She had to admit potion making was calming on its own.
It was truly well past curfew when she dropped off the finished burn potions to a more than grateful Madam Pomfrey. Of course Solanum took some for her trouble. Only she knew how much she had made and Slughorn owed it to her. Pomfrey gave her some candy and ushered her off. What was she five she thought leaving the hospital wing.
When Solanum made it to the common room and then to her dorm room she wasn’t as ready to send their female prefect to the hospital wing anymore. She just wanted to sleep. After she washed the mudblood and remaining anger from her. For that she took an ice cold shower and didn’t turn off the water until she could barely feel her extremities. She then slipped on her favorite blue nightgown and slipped into bed.
Not even an hour later she was in the common room watching the giant squid swim by. Even he was probably wondering what she was doing up. The calming potion had worn off somehow and she was angry again. Solanum made a note to herself to make her own calming draughts as it was apparent Slughorn wasn’t any good at it. She truly hated being at Hogwarts but there was nothing she could do about it. The year couldn’t end fast enough and the new one begin.
Solanum sat on the floor and placed a crystal phial full of red liquid onto the floor. She had to admit it was one of her best burn potions. Unlike Slughorn she didn’t need to test it to know it worked.
“Magnificent if I do say so myself.” she said to the potion. “And I do.”
{Holy crap she’s talking to herself.}
